هوتا لتقنيات المياه was founded in 2007. Huta water has engaged into two huge significant projects since it has been created. The first RO plant was established on August 2007 through a contract with Aramco on the premises of Petro-Rabigh refinery. The production capacity of the Petro-Rabigh RO plant was up to 20,000 cubic m/day. Since then, it has been producing portable water supplying to Aramco, Rabigh, and contractors community. On early 2009 another RO plant has started in King Abdullah Economic City with a production capacity of 10,000 cubic m/day upgradable to 40,000 upon demand to serve the whole community of the city and other contractors in the region. It will start production of potable water early December 2009, and it should last for at least the coming 10 years as per the signed contract with Emaar Economic City.
